In 2019, the town of Chaparral in Tolima, Colombia became the site of a remarkable humanitarian effort. Volunteer dentists, mobilized by the Fuerza Colombia Foundation, gathered to participate in a health outreach initiative aimed at serving elderly residents living in economic hardship. Over the course of the campaign, dental professionals took impressions and fabricated custom dentures, offering not just medical care but dignity and relief to those who had long gone without. For many, it was the first time they had access to quality dental treatment—an intervention that promised to restore both function and confidence.
